Jessica Caporuscio, PharmD, received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Montreal in July 2014. She worked as a community pharmacist, beginning as a relief pharmacist in Quebec until she moved to Toronto, Ontario. She was the designated manager of a pharmacy in the Greater Toronto Area and is currently a full time medical writer.
She started medical writing in July 2016 for the Medical News Bulletin, an online magazine based in Thornhill, Ontario. Jessica has also developed an interest in nutrition and dietary supplements and has recently completed a Certificate in Nutrition and Healthy Living from Cornell University.
Since March 2019, Jessica has been creating medical, pharmaceutical, and nutrition related content for Medical News Today.
Jessica’s mission is to educate the public on disease prevention and healthy living. As a healthcare professional, she has developed critical communication skills that allow her to communicate effectively with people of various education levels. Her medical writing interests also include creating educational content for continuing medical education modules directed to healthcare professionals.
In her spare time, Jessica is an endurance athlete. She completed the Ironman Mont Tremblant in August 2017 as well as multiple marathons and triathlons. She also enjoys spending time in her kitchen, creating healthy meals for her family.
